A. Electricity Theory

Principle of Electricity: Voltage, current, resistance, ohm's law, series and parallel circuit, voltage drop calculation.
Practical Units: Unit of voltage, current, resistance, power and energy.
Power Relations: Relation between KW and HP.
Electro Magnetism: Concept of EMF, Fleming's rules, magnetic, chemical and heating effect of current.
Materials: Conductors, semiconductors, insulators, transformer oil, and lubricants.
Generation: Renewable and non-renewable sources, AC and DC production methods.
Control Gear: Switches, circuit breakers, starters, and protective devices for motors.
Transformers: Single/Three phase construction, maintenance, parallel working, tapings, CT/PT.
AC/DC Machines: Alternators, DC Generators (shunt, series, compound), interpoles, commutators.
Batteries: Lead acid, alkaline cells, charging circuits, and maintenance.
Motors: Induction motors (squirrel/slip-ring), synchronous motors, starting and speed control.
AC Circuits: R-L-C circuits, power factor, star-delta connection, phase sequence.
Illumination: Lamps, street lighting, and photometric measurements.
Safety: CEA Safety Regulations 2023, Electricity Act-2003, and Fire safety.

B. Electricity Utilization

Industrial Wiring: Wiring layout of different types (cleat, conduit, armored cable), necessary switchgear, and wiring of appliances[span_0](end_span).
Energy Calculation: Simple calculation relating to cost of power and energy, and method of charging for demand and energy[span_1](end_span).
Fault Attendance: Detection and location of faults in AC/DC generators, motors, overhead lines, and underground cables[span_2](end_span).
Protection: Earthing of generators and motors, use of lightning arrestors, HRC fuses, and earth leakage protection[span_3](end_span).
Pump Installation: General principles and calculations of head, power, and energy for centrifugal pumps[span_4](end_span).
Domestic Installation: Maintenance of heaters, refrigerators, domestic energy meters, and fault identification in residential wiring[span_5](end_span)[span_6](end_span).

C. HT Power Supply (11 KV & 33 KV)

HT Cables: Selection criteria, current rating, laying guidelines, jointing, and fault locating techniques[span_7](end_span).
Sub-stations: Layout, design, and maintenance of HT transformers, circuit breakers, CTs, PTs, and lightning arrestors[span_8](end_span).
Relay Protection: Protective relays, measuring equipment, and design of capacitor banks[span_9](end_span)[span_10](end_span).
Overhead Lines: Survey, design, foundation erection, and selection of conductors, sag, and spans[span_11](end_span)[span_12](end_span).

D. Other Basic Knowledge

Computer Basics: Operation and data analysis relevant to electrical networks[span_13](end_span).
Statutory Rules: Electricity Act-2003 and updated circulars, and CEA safety regulations[span_14](end_span).
Instruments: Operational knowledge of oscilloscopes, ammeters, voltmeters, multimeters, tong testers, and meggers[span_15](end_span).
Specialized Equipment: Working of alternators, converters, rectifiers, and high voltage apparatus like X-Ray and welding machines[span_16](end_span).

E. CIL / SECL / State Awareness

Company Knowledge: SECL formation, areas, mines, production capacity, and CIL structure[span_17](end_span).
Safety & Policy: SECL safety policies and mining policies of Chhattisgarh (CG) and Madhya Pradesh (MP)[span_18](end_span).
General Awareness: Current events, India's Constitution, Geography, History, Economy, and Science & Technology[span_19](end_span).

F. Mental Ability & Reasoning

Quantitative Aptitude: Number series, simplification, percentage, ratio, time and work, and time and distance
Reasoning: Coding-decoding, blood relations, and data interpretation
